Finding the perfect piece of headwear has always been a challenge for us ocean lovers. With our hair always salty and curly from days spent in the sun and sea, we knew there had to be a way to create a hat that not only fit our hair perfectly but also embodied our love for the ocean. Living out of San Diego, California, we understood that a hat is more than just an accessory—it's a part of our identity. We wear hats 365 days a year and have closets overflowing with them.
Sundaze was born out of that desire to capture the feeling of being alive after a sun-soaked day by the ocean. It's about embracing that laid-back, blissful state when the day winds down, and you’re left with nothing but good vibes and salty skin. At Sundaze, we wanted to bottle up that feeling and translate it into our hats, ensuring you stay connected to that relaxed, beachside spirit—even on Monday mornings when the grind begins again.
So in 2018, we decided to put pen to paper and start dreaming up the vision that would become Sundaze. Our mission was clear: to create quality hats that reflect the sun-dazed, carefree summer nights that we all cherish, while offering the perfect fit for anyone who embodies the ocean in their heart. Today, Sundaze is all about keeping that feeling alive, no matter where you are or what day it is.
Today, Sundaze is proudly featured in over 30 retail locations along the coast, and our journey is just beginning. As we continue to grow, we’ve built a vibrant and engaged community, with a strong presence on social media that allows us to share our story and connect with like-minded ocean lovers. Our local events in San Diego have become a cornerstone of what we do, bringing together people who share our passion for the beach and the laid-back lifestyle we embrace. We’re incredibly grateful for the support of our customers, who have been with us every step of the way, and we’re beyond excited about what the future holds.
